Jeanie Mortensen

Jeanie Mortensen is a product of her native Michigan whose land, water, wildlife, and human inhabitants provide unending sources of inspiration for her work. A career in high school public education remains a source of pride together with the rewards of marriage and motherhood. She harbors great gratitude for her wide circle of friends of varying ages and backgrounds and is ever cognizant of the privileges inherent in having been born into a loving family during a hopeful time in history. Previously published works include a novel, Two Steps This Side, and Taking in Seasons, a poetry collection.
