About the author: John P. (Jack) Kristofco has published over seven hundred poems and seventy short stories in about two hundred publications, including: Folio, Rattle, Bryant Literary Review, Cimarron Review, Fourth River,
Pinyon, Stand, Slant, and The Sierra Nevada Review. He has published four collections of poetry and was the 2002 recipient of the Chaffin Prize for Fiction. In 2011, Jack retired from a forty-year career as a professor and university administrator (most recently Dean at the University of Akron’s Wayne College). He lives with his wife Kathy in Highland Heights, Ohio (just east of Cleveland) where he continues to pursue his passions for writing, music, photography, and watching his three children and nine grandchildren take their swings at changing the world.
